Cricut Craft Room: Exporting & Importing Files

Since my Gypsy is in the shop for repairs I have been working a lot in the Cricut Craft Room and find that I enjoy it a lot.  It is much easier then Design Studio but it does take some practice to maneuver around easily.
Since a few of you did ask for the Cut file for the project I posted yesterday I thought I would also share a link to the Provo Craft video on how to import a file.
I hope to be able to provide cut files for some future projects which should make giving you exact measurements much easier. Post any questions, issues, suggestions you have on the Cricut Craft Room and we will see if we can't help each other out using this FREE new tool.
Besides you got to love the .CCR extension on the files....wonder where Provo Craft got the inspiration for such a great name??Cricut Craft Room-hum???????

FCCB Challenge #96:3x3 Valentiny Challenge

Welcome to another project listing for the {Fatabulous Cricut Challenge Blog}
This week's challenge is called Valentiny (create a 3x3 Valentine Card).
A few of us were lucky enough to work with some of Miss Emma's (of My Creative Time ) wonderful stamp sets.
I used her 100% Sweetness Set.....Love It!!!!!
I created a Valentine Card/Picture frame with card stock and acetate (transparency material).
I created this project in the Cricut Craft Room and will happily email the cut file to any one that would like to give it a try.
Just leave me a comment with your email address and I will send it to you.
Here are the other supplies I used along with more pictures.
I started with my Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake cartridge to cut the front square with a heart shaped opening and then I cut a heart shaped frame from some WeR patterned paper.
I also cut a square from white cardstock and used the 100% stamp set to stamp XOXO in 3 coordinating colorbox ink colors. The flowers are from Iamroses...they were white and I used my own homemade glimmer mists to color.
I scored & folded my front piece at 1/4 " and 1/2" from each side to create the pop out frame.
I then cut a piece of transparency material  to cover the front opening and used my StazOn fuschsia pink ink pad to stamp the adorable cupid from the stamp set.
I used my ATG gun to adhere the clear sheet to the inside of the heart opening.  I glued the white stamped square to the back piece of the card and adhere the entire piece together.
I then cut a 3 x3 1/2" piece of  pink cardstock and used my MS heart border punch along just the top edge
I used the tiny hugs & kisses stamps from the same My Creative Time stamp set to stamp the border.
I then added black & white gel pen details.
To make sure the pink card with sentiment on the back doesn't slip down past the card I used a scrap piece of cardstock to create a tab to keep the bottom closed.
To help the entire thing stamp up like a picture frame I used another scrap of  hot pink cardstock measuring 1/2" x 1 1/2" to create a triangle stand that I glued to the back.
When the pink card with the sentiment on the back is pulled out the base of the card can be used as a Valentiny Picture Frame.
I decorated the front with some glimmer misted roses to match the paper & some twine and a tiny button.
Here is one last look at the finished piece.
I had so much fun working with the 100% Sweetness Stamp Set from My Creative Time.  Be sure and Click on Emma's blog name if you want to check out her site and all of  her wonderful stamps sets.
I have already started making more Valentine projects with this set that I hope to share soon.
Be sure and try a 3x3 Valentiny Card and share it with us over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
I will also be entering this project in the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog
this week they have a photo inspiration challenge and I used the colors from the picture to inspire this project.
Thanks for visiting!

Cricut Cartridge Review:Sophisticated-Pt2

I am not the best video editor and it took a bit of wrangling to get the rest of Episode 1 ready to load.
Thank you for your patience.
I hope you find the segment helpful and I promise to try and improve my video skills.
I realize the length is an issue for some....feel free to fast forward to just the project if the project instructions are what you are most interested in.  I will try to put tips and techniques into this segment and hopefully I can eventually turn this into Ustream episodes so that those that wish to ask questions as I go through a cartridge can do so.
For now I will continue to work on my editing and computer posting skills.

I loved this Sketch and the WeR Cupid Clear Stamp and Echo Park paper.
Soooooo much fun to work with.....the colors give it a classy/sassy look I think.
Here is a close up.

Hope you like it and are tempted to give Sketches a try.

Georgiana's Bio
My name is Georgiana and I have been married for 18 years to my high school sweetheart. We have two children, a 17 year old and a 13 year old,  and two dogs. I am a 5th grade teacher with 13 years of experience even though my degree is in Social Work. I LOVE to make cards, but have dabbled in various crafts (ceramics, chocolate, silk flowers) over the years thanks to my grandmother. I like to layer paper and use lots of different types of embellishments...buttons, brads, ribbon, florals, and gems are just a few. Being able to craft and share with others has become an extremely satisfying hobby (addiction).

I am super excited that I have been given the opportunity to serve on Creative Cutter Room's Design Team.

 Amy's Bio:
My friends all call me Amy Jo.  I'm 32 years old, married to the most wonderful man and we have three dogs.  I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about four years ago while I had two jobs and was attending school for Fashion Design.  I ended up having to drastically change my life, quit all of my jobs and school and was basically bed-ridden for most of the first year.  I knew I had to do something to make my life more meaningful and that is what led me to papercrafting.  I found I have a knack for it and my friends and family started wanting to buy my cards so I went full force and never looked back!  It has been the most fulfilling venture I have ever taken in my life.  I am so excited to be on the Design Team for CCR!  I also belong to Paper Piecings by Nikki and am the coordinator for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog (FCCB).  I look forward to creating with you!
