Patriotic Mini Hop and Challenge

Welcome to the Creative Cutter Room's first ever Mini Hop
In honor of President's Day this month and the many Presidential Birthday's our Design Team thought it would be fun to challenge all of you to create a PATRIOTIC THEMED PROJECT.
Visit each one of the 4 participating members Blogs to see their inspiration project and pick up a REQUIRED ELEMENT.  When you the 4 required elements then create anything you like using all four elements: a card, a layout, a home decor or gift item and come back here to link your Project.  As always we appreciate the comments, and any new Followers but neither is required to join in.
My Required Element is a 3D Item
We have one additional Design Team member participating with an inspiration project but no required element--be sure and visit her site to see what she has created.  You will have one week to post your project and our Team will vote on a winner to receive 3 Packages of Pebbles Chips in RED, WHITE & BLUE.
So here is the Line up

scrapstampcrazy said...I never knew Valentine's Day with kids could be so much fun. Not formerly my favorite holiday but so much better now. I loved watching them go through all their Valentine's with such enthusiasm when they came home from school. We made crafts on Sunday and hung them up. I made them heart pancakes for breakfast and manicotti for dinner. I got little gifts for each of them and my husband and everyone had homemade cards. A very sweet day.

Retreat Challenge

Every scrapbook retreat I host I include a Challenge Project: where everyone starts out with the same supplies and requirements and then we have a group of judges pick a winner to get a Small Scrapbook Tote of supplies.  The submissions at this retreat were so adorable I thought I would share them.  The theme this Retreat was Queen of the Crop. Everyone started with a Wood Plaque and red boa.  The requirement was ribbon and one cricut cut.   The winner was the one on the bottom left with a picture and hand made paper rose on it .  Congrats Mindi it was Beautiful!!  I am always so impressed how different and wonderful the creations are when everyone starts with basically the same items.

Talk Time Tuesday: Quick Tip by Melin

So I hope everyone had a SUPER ROMANTIC Valentine's Day!!!! Today's topic is easy......What did you do for Valentine's Day???  This week I will choose one Random winner to receive the Basic Grey Two Scoop Floral Swirls Acrylic Stamp Set pictured above.  Just join in the discussion by leaving a comment.
Here is a Great Tip from Creative Cutter Melin Click Here to visit her website.
Welcome to Talk Time Tuesday. Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I am sharing a project I made and a quick tip video on how to create the “Dahlia” Fan Fold Paper folding flower.
Please “bear” with me as I am new to videos and still trying to feel my way around things.
Here is the project I created
I used the Ornamental Iron, Songbird and George and Basic Shapes Cartridges with my “E” and “G” to create this layout.
The title: Treasure was from Songbird and I used my “G” to weld it together.
The Iron gate and Iron sign hanger-element was from Ornamental Iron
The “Dahlia” paper fold is what the video is on. I used G&BS to create the 8 circles needed to create the flower. Lastly I used an MS punch for the black half circles and then some red jewels.
Here is a close up of the “Dahlia” fan folded flower.

Sorry for the mix up: This is the correct post for Talk Time Tuesday.

If you've landed here after visiting Krista Orr of Scrapaleupagus  then you are in the right place.  Welcome to The Best Snow on Earth in the Great State of Utah.

If you have never visited then put this State on your bucket list, you won't be sorry.  There is soooooo much to see and do that you will be amazed at what a fun state this is.  I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts but I've lived in Utah for the last 28 years.  This is a beautiful, clean and friendly state with something for everyone.  You can ski the mountains in the winter and hike several beautiful National Parks in the Summer.
My family loves to camp, fish, visit the beautiful lakes, visit places where the Dinosaurs roamed and where brave, faithful men and women of faith stopped to build their ZION.  Some of the must see places are Temple Square, Cedar City, Moab, Utah Lake, listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Take in a Utah Jazz game or cheer for the University of Utah football team-GO UTES!
