Talk Time Tuesday: Quick Tip by Melin

So I hope everyone had a SUPER ROMANTIC Valentine's Day!!!! Today's topic is easy......What did you do for Valentine's Day???  This week I will choose one Random winner to receive the Basic Grey Two Scoop Floral Swirls Acrylic Stamp Set pictured above.  Just join in the discussion by leaving a comment.
Here is a Great Tip from Creative Cutter Melin Click Here to visit her website.
Welcome to Talk Time Tuesday. Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I am sharing a project I made and a quick tip video on how to create the “Dahlia” Fan Fold Paper folding flower.
Please “bear” with me as I am new to videos and still trying to feel my way around things.
Here is the project I created
I used the Ornamental Iron, Songbird and George and Basic Shapes Cartridges with my “E” and “G” to create this layout.
The title: Treasure was from Songbird and I used my “G” to weld it together.
The Iron gate and Iron sign hanger-element was from Ornamental Iron
The “Dahlia” paper fold is what the video is on. I used G&BS to create the 8 circles needed to create the flower. Lastly I used an MS punch for the black half circles and then some red jewels.
Here is a close up of the “Dahlia” fan folded flower.

Sorry for the mix up: This is the correct post for Talk Time Tuesday.

Great pictures! Your daughter is beautiful and yes...they grow up way too fast!

Unfortunately, my hubby was out of town on business last night so it was just me and my two little Valentines! We had heart shaped pizza and cupcakes and lots of hugs and kisses!

Hope you had a great one!

What great pictures!! I love Valentine's Day...me and my husband met 14 years ago on Valentine's Day so it has a special meaning to us. But with the kids, and activities and a PTO meeting there wasnt much time for going out and celebrating. I made a nice dinner though and was able to spend the time with my family so who really needs to go out right?!?!

Great photos and your daugther is beautiful.

We also celebrated valentines day with chinese food. We ordered in as we have two little kiddies (7 1/2 months and 19 months) whose bed time was nearing! We took a few cute pictures of the kids holding 'my first valentines day' and 'be mine' heart cut outs, and called it a night!

Looks like a ymmy dinner. My hubby and I are going out this weekend for dinner. We aren't much for crowds. This is a nice treat since we don't get a sitter too often. Your daughter looks beautiful and I hope she had a nice time.

Well it looks like you had a great day!

I spent the day shopping with my daughter and then once the hubby came home from work I had an ultrasound appointment and found out we will be having another little girl! It was a great day :)

I never knew Valentine's Day with kids could be so much fun. Not formerly my favorite holiday but so much better now. I loved watching them go through all their Valentine's with such enthusiasm when they came home from school. We made crafts on Sunday and hung them up. I made them heart pancakes for breakfast and manicotti for dinner. I got little gifts for each of them and my husband and everyone had homemade cards. A very sweet day.

Well, we didn't do anything special, really, for V-day. We exchanged cards, and my hubby got me chocolates, but that's it. We are using our would-be V-day money to buy new dining room chairs. Maybe we can have a romantic dinner when they get here. ;o)

What a great picture of your daughter, seh is beautufil. My son has his first semi as well and everyone asked if I was sad, I said no, now I have great pictures to scrap! Great minds think alike.

We celebrated Vday over the weekend with a fancy homemade dinner in our dinning room (a room we should use more) and the best part was our kids celebrated with us!!

What gorgeous pics! Your daughter is beautiful! For V-day we just stayed home, my hubby cooked wonderful spaghetti and I had my first glass of wine in about a year (due to medications for fibromayalgia, I can't have alcohol). It was fantastic. Then, we fell asleep watching Casablanca. LOL

Since my birthday is just before Valentines Day, we always go out to our favorate place to eat inbetween my birthday and Valentines day so we spend the actual holidays together as a family. I made a nice meal-steak, baked potatoes, salad and desert and we shared our cards and time with our kids.

My Valentines Day was simple. I woke up to find roses and a card on the kitchen table...:-o The card was soooo loveable, I cried!!
What's funny is when he said "you will have to find another vase, that one is broke." It had fallen over and broke and he had it taped up.lolol My day was very nice and I was glad to share the day with all the people I love the most.. MY FAMILY!! This layout is really coool and I have gotten some wonderful inspiration from it.

Not the usual Valentines Day for us this year. DH had a transplant this past week so I was just grateful to have him alive and to be able to visit him in the hospital. Made him a card and poster for the wall since they can't have flowers on the floor.
