Cricut Disney Autograph Book

Hello Ladies-Happy Labor Day Weekend!
My family is going camping to Flaming Gorge so I thought I would share a blast from the past and re-post this Autograph book I made my Nephew last year.
I will post a couple more oldies but goodies this weekend....since I will be gone (and you might be as well) and I have some new Creative Cutter Friends that might not have seen these projects.
Have a safe and fun Labor Day Weekend!!!

My younger brother and his family went to Disneyland this year for Christmas and they asked me to make an autograph book for my nephew Michael.  Michael is the spitting image of my brother and just an adorable little guy so I was excited to work on something special for him.  I've done a few different autograph books for people over the years as custom orders, but I've never done one for a little boy.
So this one was a challenge.
I created a couple of pages now and will complete the album when he has all of his autographs and his Mom has some pictures with characters I can add in.  That way it also becomes his own personal little brag book.
Hope you like it.

I did a combination Cricut Mickey & Friends Cartridge and Stickers.
When he gets signatures I will create more Cricut Characters to put next to them and his favorite pictures.
One last look at the cover-HE LOVES EVERYTHING CARS!!!

Home Decor Projects: New for Halloween!

Well my DH has been at it again.  For our Local (Utah) followers we have some fun wood projects that you can buy finished or raw (unpainted).
Two ways to have fun decorating for Halloween.

This wood sign with stand measures 3.5" inches high, 18" inches long and is 2.25" inches deep.
I used black acrylic paint from Michael's and white vinyl cut with Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge for the letters.  The witch is cut out of chipboard & EP pattern paper left over from my Chilling Carriage Ride Kit.
These wood signs come in 3 different sizes this is the largest: great for any holiday decor piece you would like to make this season.
Would also make a great Family Established Date Sign!
These awesome blocks are just shy of 2 inches and also come finished or raw.
I again used my left over Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper and put BOO on one side & EEK on the back side cut with my Happy Hauntings cartridge set at 1".
I may consider adding these to the store, but for now they are available for local pick up only-since these are wood the shipping can get a bit crazy.
Just email me at Rcathierigby@aol.co or use the Contact Me form if you are interested in getting any of these fun items for the holidays.
I think they would make a fun Relief Society craft night activity.

Tip Tuesday! Scrap Prevention!

Hello Fellow Crafters,
Today is my opportunity to share a crafting tip with you at Creative Cutter Room. I decided to share how to use a 12 X 12 double sided sheet of pattern paper and not have any scraps left. I have the tendency to use only a portion of the paper and then add the remaining pieces to the box to hardly ever get used again. Do you do that too?
Here is a way to prevent that from happening.
Scrap Prevention
Select one piece of 12 X 12 double sided pattern paper.
Use both sides to layer 2 or 3 card bases. Shown above on the left.
Use the remaining small pieces to make 3 X 3 cards.
I cut strips and rectangles to create the smaller cards. I also used a strip for the envelope (as seen in the background) and the inside of one of the 3 x 3 cards.
ALL the paper has been used! There are NO scraps!
Now the cards can be decorated to fit the next challenge or just to have ready for that last minute birthday card you may need.
Stay Creative,

The larger unit measures 6x15 and is 6 inches deep.
This unit will hold aprox. 140 markers. Cost is $20.00

PTA Teacher Breakfast with a Gift Idea

Our Elementary School's PTSA Board planned a Welcome Back to School Breakfast today as a fun way of introducing ourselves to the teachers.

These really fun duct tape flower pens will be a gift to the teachers with a message that says
"Thank you for making young minds BLOOM!"

My sweet daughter Jasmine will be 12 in two months, and she wanted to get a jump start on working on her personal progress activities for the Young Women program of our church.  Part of this program has the girls working on service projects of their choosing that help remind them of different values.  So she decided to volunteer the many hours it took to make these gifts for the 30 teachers attending the breakfast today.  Our school colors are blue & yellow and all of the pens fit in two of these cute flower pails I found at the dollar store.  I think she did a great job so I thought I would share this "Teacher Gift Idea" with all of you.  There are several great videos on YouTube that show you just how fun and easy these are to make.  Thank You Jasmine for working so hard on these.....I know the teachers will love them.....hope all of you feel inspired to give the teacher's in your life a quick Thank You for all they do to teach and inspire us!

Talk Time Tuesday: Cricut Dust Covers

I have a really fabulous site to share with all of you today!
What makes it extra special is that it belongs to one of my best friends and former Creative Cutter Room design team member.....
Orlena from Lena's Crafts makes some truly beautiful Cricut/Cameo/Pazzle/Cuttlebug & Big Shot Machine dust covers.
(whew I got tired just listing them all and she is the one that does all of the sewing!)
You have to go check out her site (just click on her name above) and see all of her wonderful creations.
The two of us have been collaborating this summer to show our products at local fairs, and festivals and it has been so much fun!
I have watched her create some of these wonderful products and I proudly own   some of her creations....including these fabulous aprons.
My daughter Christine agreed to be my model.
Lena makes these fabulous Scrapbook Aprons with two rows of special pockets that fit bone folders, and car keys and any crafty tools you want to have really handy at a crop....I love it!
My husband and I are University of Utah fans and she made us matching U of U aprons......
These are a big seller!!!
This apron has that vintage look, the craftsmanship is really beautiful on this one.

Her items are truly FANTASTIC and best of all.....made to last with perfect attention to detail!
(this is code for she is as obsessive about her projects as I am!!!lol)
If you have a poor naked machine in your craft room, then you definitely want to visit her site and get that remedied.
This is the beautiful Vinyl dust cover she made for my Expression.
Tune in Friday to see how I added a special Creative Cutter Room detail that I can't wait to share with all of you.
~Hugs

Growing Friends!

I'm sorry the postings have been slim this past week.  I have been preparing for some out of town Scrapbook Expo shows.
I'm also so excited to share with you soon the
Chilling Carriage Ride Mini Album and bonus projects.
The videos will post this Monday & Wednesday so I hope you come back and see what I have in store!
Above is a New Card I created with the wonderful products from Momenta
I just love their colorful paper collections!
I used a standard A2 card base
All of the papers are Momenta as well as the Rub On sentiment.
Do you see the puffy sticker flourish-Momenta has flourish sets in just about every color and they are so fun to work with and can add that special touch on just about any project......I have some more to share with you in a Wedding Album coming soon.
Also used in this card are:
Nestabilities tattered rectangles for the frames
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Martha Stewart border punch
Flowers & Brad from my Stash and
The Creative Cutter Room Bow Maker for the finishing touch.
Hope  you like my friendship card and take a moment to enter our team's Friends Challenge
