Perfect Paper Crafting Hop: Spring Hello Card

Welcome to our Perfect Paper Crafting Brand Ambassador blog hop.
It will start Monday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. PST
and go through Friday, April 4 at Midnight PST.

This is the project I made using my Mini Perfect Layers rulers and Mini Mat

All of the Brand Ambassadors were given a set of these fantastic tools and asked to create a project.
My Project will begin by featuring the Mini Mat which I am completely in love with!!

The mat comes with some diagonal markings to create a 30 & 45 degree angles.
I used some of my So Happy Paper collection from Echo Park to make a few paper angels.
I then cut a piece of cardstock to 5 1/2 by 11 and cut slits lengthwise at 1" from each end.  Starting 1" down to the 6 1/2 marking on my paper trimmer.  I repeated this from the opposite side and then began scoring as pictured.  1", 2" & 5 1/2" in between cut lines and at 6" all the way across.

I then used my Perfect Layers Mini rulers to trim a piece of paper to fit on the largest square.  The mat helped me calculate taking 1/4" off each side to center perfectly.
I stamped, Copic Colored and fussy cut my image Boots Kiddo from Stampendous.

I added foam tape and adhered her to the center of a piece of patterned paper.
I then used this piece and my rulers to cut a 1/4" border all the way around.

It is so great to get nice crisp cuts even when working with this small an edge!
I then began to assemble my card.  I added some burlap trim to the base of the card...arranged my angled cuts until I found a look I liked.

Then I trimmed off the tips.

I stamped a sentiment I liked and then added some flowers and a four loop bow-tied with my Bow Maker.
Here is another look at the center step style card with all of the embellishments added.
I hope you like my card...it was so much fun to make.
I LOVE the size and convenience of

Tim Holtz Inspiration

This beautiful layout was featured in the Tim Holtz booth at CHA Anaheim this year.  The creator Jan Hobbins was a contributor to Tim's new Compendium of Curiosities III.....you know how much I love Timmy and the talented people that he surrounds himself with.
Hope this inspires you as much at it has inspired me!

Retreat Memories Feb 27-March 2

These lovely legs belong to my Scrapbook Friends that joined me for
"The Spring is in the Air" Retreat this past weekend.
This Cute Chick was our Winner and she received a lovely
Spring Stamp Set and paper pad from Echo Park.

This time around we had some fun ways to win prizes....and as you can see everyone had a great time!

But we also got some scrapbooking done!
This fabulous page was done by my friend Lawana......what great work!
She had a little Cricut help....but with her wonderful creativity....this page really
made us think of a Wicked Good Time!

This is one of my page layouts that was available for purchase.
Angie will be adding pictures of her adorable boys playing with their favorite Super Hero!
Thank you ladies for a wonderful weekend....I had a speaking engagement that I was terrified over...and my sweet friends gave me so much encouragement and great advice.  I love the friendships developed over scrapbooking!
These sweet ladies came all the way from Spokane Washington to come and crop with us!
New friendships are so exciting.....and I know we will be friends for years to come!!
I gave them the whirlwind tour of some places in Utah (the open ones-because it was Sunday!)
We missed the Ice Castles of Midway's Grandeur by a few weeks.....but had enough fun to Scrap About!
Lunch at the Bandit Cafe in Park City was wonderful.....its great to be a tourist....even for just the day!

We had so much fun getting to know one another and hanging out in Park City....
These lovely ladies made my day....so great to leave another Scrapbooking Retreat with preserved memories, and New Friends!!
