Father's Day Card

This is a new card I made for my Hubby for this Father's Day.  I used the Superman Cartridge with a 4 inch Superman from Page 37.  I used vinyl and see thru transfer tape to line up all of the colors.  Hope you like it.  I will be posting this to My Pink Stamper's Father's Day Card Contest---wish me luck!

Looks like this one will be available in June.  There may also be some sort of Club being started but PC is keeping it hush hush.  For those playing with the new upgrades on the Gypsy there is also a new feature coming in June that will make some of these upgrade even more fun.  Everything is being kept hush hush for now but I will keep you posted as I find out more.

New Gypsy Features

So everyone needs to update their Gypsy today--there are some new features and improvements.  I will post a list of these updates as given by Cricut.
Cricut App Change Log Version 1.3 Build 0191 – May 28, 2010

New Features:
•Added the ability to hide-contours enabling users even greater ability to customize and create new designs. Hide any part of an existing shape to make it your own custom shape. Hidden contours will save when you save your design.
•Added rulers to the mat screen so users can more readily see the actual size that shapes will cut.
•The feature keys now show descriptive text and icons to help users make better use of their cartridges without the use of the printed manual.
•The Photo App is now available for all users.
•The Gypsy can now be restored in the home of a user in case the user is having trouble with their Gypsy
•The Gypsy now displays “Busy Syncing…” while connected to GypsySync through your computer to inform users that it is not available for use while it is Syncing.
•Cartridges can now be added to the Gypsy faster and more reliably than before

Give me a couple days to play with these new features and I will post some tips/or add to my Gypsy Curriculum so everyone knows how these will work on your machines.

Graduation Mania!!!!

Well its that time of year and here I am again scrabbling to get the projects, gifts, announcements, etc done for Graduation.  My son Derek, and my niece Lisa are both graduating from High School.  My niece Jennifer is graduating from Westminster College and my friend Anne's daughter Mallory also just graduated getting her Associates.  WOW to be young again and have the future all before you with limitless possibilities.  I'm posting some pictures of the Graduation Announcements I made for my son and also a quick snapshot of my  boy in his first Grown Up Suit---isn't he Handsome.  I wish all the Graduates out there the Best of Luck with future endeavors.  I spend alot of time trying to "Catch Up" with my scrapbooking and when I look at these snapshots of moments happening right now I can't help but wish time would slow down somehow.  I do however, look forward to even more of life's milestones and memories.  With kids you can't ever really dwell on one moment in time because you might miss the next one--so I'll take lots and lots of pictures to freeze this moment today and then charge my batteries for the memories of tomorrow!

Cricut Cards

Here are a couple more Cricut Made Cards I wanted to share with you.

1-Go Wild made using Create a Critter Cartridge and Paper Studio Papers (Hobby Lobby)
2-Humpty Dumpty Card made using Nursery Rhyme Cartridge and DCWV Paper (Roberts)

In both cards I used layering techniques to get final results.  Lots of ink work (pens & markers) used to highlight the detail lines cut by Cricut.

For the Humpty Card I printed out my own sentiment:  Oh no!   Inside:  I heard your not feeling well. in CK Tipsy Font.  Hope you like them!

My Pink Stamper Robyn

Robyn is in Utah this week and my friend Anne was gutsy enough to arrange a visit for us with her.  I of course love the work she does on her website and youtube videos but I also admire her drive and determination.  For those of you that know about her website (blinkie below) you know she has hubby, five kids, runs marathons, designs stamp sets, makes videos, sells DVD's and is an all around amazingly sweet person.  It was a pleasure getting to meet her-Thanks Anne for suggesting it-I am inspired by hard working Women and Robyn definately qualifies. We also met another one of Robyn's fans-Thank you Glora for taking a picture of us-Your little girls are BEAUTIFUL!!

Solutions Cartridge Storage Idea

This is the new way I will be storing and sharing my Solutions Cartridges for Scrapbook Retreats.  These smaller 3 ring binders are from Staples and I find it easier to access just the solution keypads and leaflets.  The cartridges themselves are of course in my new Cartridge Tote.  Let me know what you think of this idea-so far it seems to work well.

New Client

I want to share with all of you that it has been a scary couple of months for me-since leaving my favorite work place Roberts.  Branching out on my own was an easy decision but still scary nonetheless.  I am incredibly thankful to the wonderful ladies that continue to take my classes now that I am an Independent Instructor and I'm even more thankful for all of the Wonderful Studio Coordinators that have advised me and helped me get my classes rolling.  So now that these first few months area over and we have somewhat of a system going in the different Roberts stores- I am ready to add to the FUN!  I was asked by the new Hobby Lobby store in Sandy to conduct a Demonstration of the Cricut Machine during their Grand Opening this week.  That was a lot of fun and now I can announce that I will be teaching in BOTH their South Jordan and Sandy Stores starting in June.  So look for new classes to pop up on my Calendar.  I will start out slowly so I don't stop sleeping all together, but if I have as much fun as I'm having with my Roberts classes it will likely pick up.  I am looking to introduce a card club and project classes at both of these stores so definitely stay tuned.  I really do LOVE MY CRICUT!

"Beautiful "Quote

One of my Very Talented students this week brought in a Vinyl Project she created for her family for Mother's Day.  I hope I tell the story correctly.  Apparently her Grandmother had an old letter from her husband that he had written while away with the military(if I have this wrong I apologize-I've had very little sleep this week).  Anyways, in the letter was this sentence:  "Find beauty in the moments and the years will take care of themselves"- Harold "Bud" R. Gammon

She created a Wall Size Vinyl Piece with this quote for all of the women in her family.  I saw one of them and can tell you it turned out Beautifully.  Couldn't wait to share it with all of you!

Get together???

This weekend I am going to our Scrapbook Retreat-I am soooooo excited. We are going to have so much fun! Next weekend I would like to have some past students/retreaters/friends join me at Sandy Roberts Midnight Crop. Anyone interested? I'll try to come up with a fun project and maybe do our own fun drawing. Let me know if this sounds like a good idea?????  I would like to start a card club of sorts but worry about it becoming a burden for people to create 10 cards each month.  Any suggestions how we can do a card club without it becoming a intense commitment?????? Hope to hear from you!!!

Father's Day Card

This is a Father's Day Card I created using Animal Kingdon and my Design Studio.  The slippers were cut free hand and I used olive green flocking to give it that fuzzy look.  I used a g studio $1 stamp set for the sentiment.

Bee Card

I created this fun card with my Create a Critter Cartridge and a Stampin' Up stamp that says happiness Always.  Hope you like it.
