Tip Time Tuesday: Wednesday Edition Marker Storage

Copic Marker Storage Units
These wood units are fantastic and hold tons of your favorite markers.
I will be taking the raw version to Sacramento so anyone planning to attend the Scrapbook Expo in Sacramento this weekend be sure and stop by my classroom to pick up your set.
They weight 4lbs each so are best if picked up to save the shipping cost of $11.00 per unit (to most states).
The SMALL UNIT will hold 144 markers and costs $15.00
The LARGE UNIT will hold 194 markers and costs $20.00

I have been asked if other markers fit in these units and we have used both Tombow & Stampin' Up markers and they also fit well in these units.
Great gift to give yourself for Christmas.......Organization!!!

Home from Denver, CO

I
Denver was quite the Adventure!! It started off great... with a fun road trip with friends, then we hit a deer with our car, and wound up coming in late to the Scrapbook Expo! Luckily my students were very understanding...and very supportive....and classes went off without a hitch.  Thank you to my new Denver friends for all of the hugs, prayers and words of encouragement.  I had a great time and in the end was so glad to have made the trip!!!  Can't wait to meet the next group of Cricut enthusiasts in Sacramento, CA on November 2 & 3rd!  I have some pictures below of the sites both before and after the scary road conditions of I70 into Denver.  There were some fatalities in the crash that happened 5 minutes in front of us.....so my prayers and sympathies to the families affected, we are feeling lucky to be alive and grateful to the deer that ultimately saved our lives!!!

Guest Designer Paula Sanders

I want to share an AWESOME project that my friend and fellow Cricut designer Paula Sanders shared with me recently.
This wonderful Halloween Scene using the Cricut: Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge and Graphic45 halloween papers is just so perfect.  What a great way to decorate your home this Spooky time of year!
The really amazing thing about this piece is the construction....while you may think it looks like just another version of a wood shadow box....or even a pre-made wood kit...it is actually neither of those materials.  She created this house scene with different sized compartments from Foam Core Board. I just love her creativity an skill at making this piece look like wood. She carefully cut her frame & panels to make each cubby.
She used her Cricut shapes to add dimension and depth and really created a WOW piece!
Thanks Paula for sharing this with us...I know some friends that will really love it!

Some Layout Inspiration!

This is a layout I created for our Back to School challenge a month back and I forgot to post it!
Ooops
Hope this provides some inspiration to those of you still working on your back to school layouts.  I used my Gypsy to do some welding and image sizing for the school house and my Cricut Express with Locker Talk for the images. The paper is Imaginisce.
This layout was created by a Creative Cutter Room friend Monique Pino that taught this layout to her scrap group at my Scrapbook Retreat getaway 2 weeks ago.  She is my Guest Designer this week and tells me she created this layout with papers she purchased at Scrapbook USA Expo in Sandy, UT.  The Images are from her Silhouette Cameo and the Title is made with her Quickkutz Tool and the Moxie font.

I hope you enjoy these layouts and that they provide some Inspiration for your new creations.  Remember no matter what MACHINE you use the important thing is to have fun CREATING!!!

Quick Tip Tuesday! Easy Banner Making with Diana!

Hi Friends,

This is DIANA L. from DL.ART  for TIP TUESDAY for Creative Cutter Room

Here is a quick tip for you on making your own mini bunting, garland,  banner or whatever you want to call it.  I may have done a tutorial similar to this but, this might even be easier, if you happen to have washi tape.

What you will need  8-10 inches of hemp, cord twine crochet thread, what ever you have available.

Then, decide what tapes you want to use,   put them in the order you  would like them to be added to the hemp.

Fold them over 1 at a time  so it sticks the the hemp, trim the bottom to form an upside down V or what ever shape you want.

When you lift the tape be gentle as to not rip it.

You are not ready to use your banner on your card

You will be seeing this on my card Saturday, come back and check it out.
Thank you for stopping by,

I hope you enjoyed this tip I hope you will use it and I hope you will have a blessed day,
Diana
