Talk Time Tuesday: A mini for all occasions

Welcome to another Talk Time Tuesday post.
This week I want to share a Mini Album that I created as a Christmas gift for my sister in law.
The theme for this one happens to be Camping/Family Reunion.
I really love creating mini albums they offer a fun concise way to share some family memories.
My kids love to flip through their mini albums (I've made them lots over the years) and talk about what they remember or what their favorite activity was, etc.
So share with us what your favorite mini project has been.
If you have created a mini album recently then leave us a link in your comment so we can stop by and admire your handy work.
Hope you like it!

Creative Cutter.org now Creative Cutter Room.com

A HUGE Thank you to all of my Followers and Viewers that have managed to stick with me during this crazy time on my website.  My prior site name creativecutter.org was hijacked this month and I have been working hard to make sure that my friends could still find me.  Hopefully, you have received an email letting you know of the new name.  If you have not I also posted the change in Facebook.  I have been able to purchase a NEW permanent website address CreativeCutterRoom.com and those that visit or have links with creativecutterretreat.blogspot.com  should be automatically re-directed.

I have been posting some Christmas Project videos from prior years while I have been working on getting this issue resolved, but please bear with me just a little longer. I assure you I will have new projects & tutorials to share soon.
Once I can get the word out that I am still here I hope to get back to business as usual.
My new Studio floor is in and I hope to be able to share that project with you soon as well.
For my local friends, you are now aware that the Roberts Arts & Crafts stores in Utah are ALL now closed.  I will now be teaching at Hobby Lobby, Heartfelt Creations and in my Home Studio.
I am working on a New curriculum that involves using my Cricut Cartridge Review for project classes.
Each month I will pick one Cricut Cartridge to feature and I will design 4 projects that you can sign up to create with that same cartridge.
All supplies & instructions will be included in the price of each class(except for cartridge).
The projects will be of the four categories I like to post in which are:
A Card
A Layout
A Home Decor piece
and a Gift Idea
I hope my students will find these projects Fun & Instructional.
I appreciate those that have searched for me and emailed me and I hope that all of my Followers will enter my Birthday Giveaway.
There will me more FUN to come so stay tuned!
Happy Holidays

FCCB Challenge #90: Rolling in Ribbon

Due to the busy Holiday Season we have extended our Design Team Call until January 13th.  Check out the details in the tab above.  We will notify new DT members on January 20th.
Rolling in Ribbon Project
Welcome to another project listing for the{Fatabulous Cricut Challenge Blog}
For my project I was able to use some beautiful crinkle ribbon from our Sponsor My Craft Spot.
I just LOVE this ribbon!! The colors are so rich and beautiful, and of course these three colors were perfect for the season:
Cranberry
Gingerbread Cookies
Old Olive
I have a video to explain how I put my trees together. I plan to put a pair of these on my dinner table this Christmas.
Thanks so much for stopping by, be sure and leave me a comment-I love reading your feedback.  I hope you will make a rolling in ribbon project and submit it over at FCCB.

Baby It's Cold Outside!

CLICK HERE for The Animal Challenge
I've been missing in action the last couple of days!
I wish I could say, its because I have been a Crazy Shopper hitting the malls, but really it's because in the midst of the holidays, I find myself replacing the flooring in my studio.
I just recently remodeled and organized my studio and was getting ready to share some changes with everyone, when my husband surprised me with new flooring.  We are doing the work ourselves and can only work on it a couple hours a day.....so it is slow going!
The final result will be wonderful and I can't wait to invite some friends over to crop when I'm back in working order....but for now this means no crafting for me......I am so sad :(
I can't wait to get my happy place back.
For now I hope you will enjoy a KID FRIENDLY project that is so much fun this time of year.  My team is working on Design Time Thursday and I will share some Christmas cards on friday...so til then.

Every once in awhile my kids talk me into going to a certain food place to get a HAPPY MEAL and we wind up with some of these containers floating around the house.
I decided that I would try to come up with something fun we could do with them besides throw them in the recycle bin.  So I have to admit I received ALOT of inspiration this week from the Cold Spell we are having ---Baby It's Cold Outside---and since my playing in the white stuff days are out I thought I would bring a little version inside.

So here is my indoor Snowman!  What's great about this type of Snowman is everyone can stay warm while making him!!!!
So if you want to try one of your own here are a couple of things you might need-feel free to substitute with whatever craft supplies you have on hand-kids are amazingly creative when you give them a few
Key Ingredients
Milk Bottle: Washed-Dried and with label removed
1 black or brown pipe cleaner for arms
3 small black buttons
Ribbon-your favorite color
Hot Glue or E6000
Styrofoam Ball for head(I used an egg shaped styrofoam and just cut off narrow end)
Animal Eyes(I used 12mm size but google eyes would be cute also)
Foamies: I used Silver Glitter Sheet but Black would work also
Some black bling for mouth and a carrot button for a nose.
Some foamie shapes for hat or you could Cricut cut any shapes you like.

The first step was to turn the bottle white.  It was a kind of see thru plastic so I just put some white acrylic paint with a little bit of water and coated the inside of the bottle.  I then cut the stryofoam head with my Pumpkin Carving knife (safe way for kids to help with the cutting) and hot glued to the lid.  Then you just decorate your SNOWMAN any way you like.  A Fun way to make Snowmen with your kids while staying WARM!!!!!

Tip Tuesday Here: Family Recipes

Still time to submit for our DT Call....we NEED you.....click on tab above for more information.

Hi Everybody!
It's Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, and today is Talk Time Tuesday!  My tip for today is about saving those treasured family recipes.  I think it's very important to preserve those favorite dishes.  All to often they get lost or forgotten, and if the person they came from is no longer with us, the delicious food, and the memories that come with it can be lost forever.

I have a favorite recipe for Pumpkin Bread, and while it didn't come from a family member (thank you Martha Stewart!), it has become a tradition in our family to hand out this out as a gift every year.  Also, creating beautiful packaging is almost as fun as making the bread!  And as my kids get older, they enjoy helping me make it :)  Making a pretty card to write the recipe on also can be fun!  Here is the recipe card I made:
*Cosmo Cricket = patterned paper
*Stampin' Up! = scallop punch
*Pink By Design = Kitchen Puns set,  Recipe front background stamp
*Bugaboo = digi stamp
*twine = The Twinery

This card is all ready for me to write the recipe on!  And I think it's also important to write it in my own handwriting to make it more special in the future.  TFL, and I hope you all enjoy your holiday season :OD

Thanks Jenny for sharing this great tip with us!

Sketchy Mondays: Christmas Banner

This beautiful project was a Banner Kit  created by Scrapware for sale on the Page Maps Blog
 this past Saturday.
Sadly, it sold out quickly but I thought it would make a wonderful inspiration project.
If you haven't had a chance to make a banner project yet, then you definitely want to try one for Christmas!
Banners are fun, easy and best of all you can customize one for any occasion!
If this Sketch inspires you to create a banner this week then share your link with us in the comments of this post, so we can all stop by and admire your Creative Cuts!
