Talk Time Tuesday: What should I put in the book???

Here's your chance to let me know what you want to see in a Cricut How To book.  I know everyone has their own tastes-so I am curious what you would like to have in printed form?  Give me your best input, suggestions, recommendations, tips on what you don't want to see.  I will pick a random winner to receive two brand new Stampin' Up stamp pads and a paper stack from DCWV.  To enter just leave a comment on this post and I will post a winner on next weeks Talk Time Tuesday.

Gypsy how to Video will post on Thursday-so be sure and check back if you are a new Gypsy owner!

I think a list of all the function keys and exactly what each one does is a good reference for a lot of people. me(at)glorajean(dot)com

I definitely agree with Glora I would love to know what the Function keys can do. I know I don'y use my E to its fullest potential. Also, How to layer the images on the Life's A Beach Cart using the CARD FUNCTION. My images never come out the correct size to place on the front of my card.

Definitly layering on the expression itself and also for the Gypsy. Also your How to Tips.

I'd love to see lots of pictures...of how the function keys work, what the various sizes should look like and how to do things like find the center of a cut....it's easier for most people to learn is they have visuals.

Congratulations Cathie! That's quiet the compliment, well deserved! I wish I could give you some help on this subject, but I know nothing about my new cricut. So anything and everything would be helpful.

I understand function keys pretty well, just happen to be a techie person as well as crafty. Primarily, would love ideas in general, and how to make tiny features like eyes on Tinkerbell! They always tear and are so tiny, can't get them to look right. :(

Thanks!!

How to cut small things, or dainty font... some times I get so frustrated with the small fonts I just give up.

I think information on the new Cricut Lite cartridges would be helpful. They seem to cut differently from the regular cartridges to me.

What I would love to see in the book is different chapters: functions, how to integrate design studio with cricut; how best to utilize gypsy with the cricut; MTC vs other major product and their pros and cons and how can they enhance use of the cricut; useful tips to shortcut making like a generic item such as a card; example on how to set up a cheatsheet/recipe sheet to quickly set up the cricut to make a particular project. I would also love to see a DVD included with the book that would visually show different chapters highlights. A list of some sites where one can go to get creative ideas;

How about some simple features, like how to change the mat size... let's say you started with a 12x24 mat, but want to reduce to a 12x12.
Some people such as me takes us a lot of time to figure the simple, you know the ones that make us go Duh! lol Gaby

I think a cheat sheet for blade and speed versus paper type. Pattern paper, card stock, vinyl, acetate etc

I read through everyone's comments and one thing I think that would be helpful too is a cheat sheet on cutting different material. I.e. regular cardstock,Bazzill cardstock, printed paper, chipboard, Cricut's stencil material, vinyl, etc. I know I still see lots of questions on settings for these things :-) Talk to you soon girl!

Congrats on making a book!

OK here are a few Cricut concerns:

I get mixed up when going from different buttons/keys to another... is there an order?

Cutting Chipboard is BIG concern, as I thought buying a deep cut blade was the answer... now I am hearing differently. I really want to cut chipboard.

I would also like to know how to clean or maintain my Cricut machine.

Are there any other ways or products to make my mat sticky again besides the blue Zig glue?

I would like to know how to cut fabric and felt too.

Do many people really use the Cricut markers... do you have any tips for these?

Are there special hints and suggestions for cutting vinyl?

Will you be covering the Gypsy too?

Gosh... I could go on and on... but I have blogged down your blog enough for now.

I would love to see something about the blade cuts so I don't tear my paper. My other thing would be on the function keys learning to do cuts where you piece together. Example would be Mickey & Friends - sometimes when I am piecing them together the sizes are wrong and don't fit.
