Make Die Cuts that WOW!
Discover Cricut functions you never knew existed and make die–cut images that are anything but one–dimensional! Go beyond the basics with your machine and work with vinyl, fabric and more. Join me, Cricut author and expert Cathie Rigby, for my online Craftsy class, Creative Die Cutting with Your Cricut, and explore the endless projects you can make with your Cricut Expression®!

Throughout this class, you'll get the techniques and inspiration you need to use your Cricut in new and exciting ways. We'll get started with an overview of Cricut foundations. I'll review Cricut essentials and share tips for using the blade, mat and cartridges. Then, we'll work through proper setup, and explore the easy–to–read cutting guide that's included with your class. We'll also discuss the basic Cricut keys, and I'll share a numbering strategy that helps you easily access and use all the many shapes and images that can be found in your cartridges.

Now we'll really put your machine to work. I'll explain the mode and function buttons, as we set up your projects for success. Then, develop an understanding of Cricut markers, as I demonstrate how to load the marker, and share how they work to outline cut lines, create coloring pages and even produce faux stamps!

Next, we'll jump into crafting with paper! Enjoy a fun introduction to Cricut Cuttables, and get essential tips for successfully scoring, stacking and cutting these products. Then, I'll show you how to emboss using the Cuttlebug Machine, as we create a flower with texture and dimension.

Think crafting with vinyl is out of reach? Think again! We'll dive into the vinyl tips handbook to learn how to work with this fun material. Prepare your Cricut to cut vinyl—while remembering the magic number of three. Then, get inspired to apply your vinyl images to a variety of fun, new surfaces.

Once you're comfortable working with vinyl, we'll use this versatile material to create a fun stencil. I'll guide you through each step of etching a glass dish, using your stencil and etching cream to achieve beautiful results. Rest assured your dishes won't go missing at the next potluck after you've etched your name or a unique design on them!

Now we'll learn how to layer and craft using fabric! Discover innovative techniques for layering, and find out how to set up and organize your mat to cut fabric with fusible webbing. We'll also review the best types of fabric to use for these projects, to create home decor and gifts you'll proudly display or give!

In our last lesson, we'll tackle cardmaking with your Cricut. I'll show you how to create two cards using the techniques you've learned so far. Layer like a pro, as you make the charming "Little Girl" card. Then, work with vinyl to create the funky "Moosing U" card—sure to be a hit with friends and family. Enroll in Creative Die Cutting with Your Cricut today, and you'll even learn the five rules for Cricut success that every paper crafter should know!

I am a longtime scrapbooker, instructor and Cricut enthusiast! I love working with my Cricut machine—so much so that I have authored a book on the subject. In addition to my book, Cricut Expression: A Comprehensive Guide to Creating with Your Machine, I teach classes about Cricut Expression®, Cricut DesignStudio and Gypsy®, through scrapbook retreats and Cricut® Cruises.

I can't wait to connect with you in my Craftsy class, as you learn how to get the most from the Cricut machine you already know and love!
