Happy Fall Y'all....wherever you are I hope you are enjoying some beautiful FALL COLOR!

Here is my attempt to enjoy some of the wonderful leaf colors I've noticed around my home.

I created this project for my California Swarm friends and wanted to share some tips on making one for yourself.

I went to Walmart and found these fantastic felt leaf place-mats in a couple different colors (they also have pumpkin shapes) and couldn't resist turning it into something else.

I used my Cricut (of course) to cut out some coordinating fabric letters that I ironed on to a scrap piece of burlap that I hot glued to the center of the leaf.  I stapled a burlap piece of ribbon to the top to make the hanger portion and then had fun decorating!

So easy and simple...what was even more fun is seeing the personal touches and changes some of the ladies made with their leaves.  I had some silk fall leaves, and acorn shaped bells, and a little bling that added some special touches.  And if your wondering how I got the distressed look just use your heat gone in some select spots for an extra second or two and you will see just how much fun it is to add some fall crinkle to your project!

Cartridge Images

I have had some ladies in my California classes request information about the cartridge images and where to find the books that can be uploaded into readers, phones, tablets, etc.  I have added a section at the bottom of my Cartridge List that includes the (almost) complete Cartridge Library.  Click on the cartridge name in the bottom section that you are looking for and it should link you to the correct image.  You can also

Time to Scrap!!

Back from CHA feeling inspired and motivated to SCRAP!!  So now the new dates are up for Fall Retreats....and I have some new surprises for our goodie bags!  New sponsors.....and a great new price for FALL.....Retreats for only $150.00.  Take advantage early and reserve your seat now.  I have had some out of state friends want to join in so new this year any retreat with an OUT OF STATE creative cutter room friend will start at NOON on FRIDAY!!! So excited to finally attend a CHA conference and trade show.  My girlfriend Anne and I have been talking about this for years and it always conflicted with something else.

Well this year....actually in 3 days.....we are off to Las Vegas for some SUN, FUN & SCRAPBOOKING!!!!

Can't wait to share what we find on the showroom floor and maybe even a giveaway or two of some fabulous products.

Has it really been that long since I posted!!!  Well my family is on its way to Sea World San Diego this weekend.  I am so excited to continue my season with the great folks of Scrapbook Expo and teach more Cricut classes in San Diego, CA.

If you are attending then I hope you stop by and say hello-I will have Books & Bow Makers for sale.  I do not have a booth this time-but I will be teaching on Friday-so I hope to see some Cricut friends then!

I will also be in Santa Clara, CA August 9-11 so if you don't get a chance to take a Cricut or Gypsy class from me in San Diego then let's get together in Santa Clara!

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day Card Set

With Mother's Day just around the corner.....I wanted to come up with a Card Set Gift Idea that would be great present to give to your Mom or neighbors and friends. 

This set of 8 cards for Birthday's, Special Events, Friendship or the generic Thinking of you are an inexpensive way to give something that the receiver can possibly use all year long. 

You can create just about any color combination you choose just by selecting a 6x6 paper pad and using 4-6 sheets of coordinating papers. 

Using a stamped image is a money saving way of customizing a set.  You can choose on or two of your favorite images and color it to coordinate with your paper choices.

Scrapbook Retreat April

It is always FANTASTIC to get away with some friends and have a little scrapbooking fun!

Scrappin' all day in your jammies and then treated to some fantastic meals.....what a way to spend the weekend.

Have you seen these beautiful new cutting mats???  I just ordered mine from Cricut.com and I can't wait to play and report back to my Creative Cutter Friends.....this may finally be a solution to the "MAT" problem many of us have had.....mainly that we hate the white bordered imagine cutting mats.  I love the colors of these and the beautiful images are a nice touch.  Provo Craft does listen and when enough of us "SUGGEST" they improve something....I think they listen.  I will post a video sharing my CUTTING ADVENTURES when I receive these.  Thank you to all those that have been contacting me and wishing me well.  Just as an update all is well.....I now have a full time job, along with my 2 business ventures, my 6 kids, 2 dogs, 1 husband, and I am working on the research for 2 more books!  I just got tired typing all that!!  So I will resume posting project ideas & videos as soon as I find a new house (oh yeah did I mention we are selling our home and finding one that I can build a new studio in) and get my studio up and running.  I have really enjoyed meeting many of my loyal followers at the Scrapbook Expo events in California and hope to meet many more in the coming months.  I will try to post some pictures of my travels soon.
